Insider Threats and Controlled Unclassified Information Training

Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Program

As part of Northeastern’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program, and in compliance with federal research regulations, all members of the university community involved with federal research initiatives are required to complete Insider Threats and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) training annually. This training is in addition to the university-wide requirement for faculty, staff, and sponsored account holders to complete Information Security Awareness training each year.

This annual training is presented in two modules and is completed through the university’s security education platform in partnership with Proofpoint. The training covers current threats and the requirements you must follow while working with CUI at Northeastern.

If you need any technical assistance accessing the university’s security education platform, please contact the IT Service Desk at 617.373.HELP [4357] or at help@northeastern.edu

This training will only appear on your Proofpoint homepage if you have been assigned by the Office of Information Security. For any questions about enrollment, reach out to CMMC_Program_Office@northeastern.edu or visit the Northeastern CMMC webpage
